Civil dwelling in Lorenzago di Cadore (BL)

Consolidation and uplift of civilian housing

Structure: Building built in the 1960s located on Viale Città di Genova in Lorenzago di Cadore (BL) consisting of three above-ground floors, an accessible attic and a basement. It presents reinforced concrete masonry and l.c. floor.
Foundations: inverted r.c. beam placed at depths varying from 100 to 150cm from p.c.
Disturbance: tilt of 8cm to the north side and 4cm to the west side, found important vertical cracking on the wall in the back.
Soil: soils with scrse geomechanical characteristics are found up to deep depths.

Il Progetto

Intervention: consolidation of 57 linear meters of foundation by injections of KERASTABLE® expanding polymers for 1-2 millimeters uplift and subsequent installation of 53 LIFT PILE® (pressure micropiles with preloading device)
Quantity of resin used: approx. 770 kilograms of injected product
Lifting achieved by the performed intervention: 1-2 millimeters
Average depth reached by the micropiles with respect to the pavement laying surface: 5 meters
Average driving pressure: 240bar corresponding to 24 tons
Duration of consolidation intervention: 7 days
